Craft beer brewery full of history and thought
Whale Brewing Yobuko Craft Brewery was opened on Yobuko Asaichi Street by the famous restaurant "Kawataro", known for its lively squid making.
Born in December 2023 by renovating an 80-year-old old private house, this brewery is attracting attention as a new landmark in the town. Yobuko is a port town where history, nature, and food culture live. The name implies the history of Yobuko, which once flourished in whaling, and the desire to regain the bustle of the town again.

Jinroku Fruit Store, a shaved ice specialty store that delivers the charm of local fruits, opens
Yoko-cho, Saga Prefecture, a port town where the whaling culture of the Edo period still lives.
On the morning market street, which is a symbol of this, a shaved ice specialty store "Jinroku Fruit Store", featuring locally produced fruits, opened on May 23, 2025.
We use plenty of seasonal fruits harvested in the Karatsu, Yobuko, and Genkai-cho areas to provide original shaved ice that values the original taste of fruits. While making use of the sweetness, aroma and sourness of the ingredients, handmade syrup and toppings in the store are beautiful in appearance and finished in a dish that stimulates the five senses. As a base for transmitting the appeal of local ingredients, and as a new stopover spot perfect for summer Yobuko sightseeing, it is one of the highlights. The shaved ice menu changes every season, so it is attractive that you can enjoy the seasonal taste luxuriously throughout the year.
