Craft beer brewery filled with history and thought

Whale Brewing Yobuko Craft Brewery was opened on Yobuko Asaichi Street by the famous restaurant Kawataro, known for its lively squid production.
Born in December 2023, after renovating an 80-year-old old private house, this brewery is attracting attention as a new landmark in the town. Yobuko, a port town where history, nature, and food culture live. The name implies the history of Yobuko, which once flourished in whaling, and the desire to regain the bustle of the town again.

At the "Japan Great Beer Awards" held in 2025, all three brands exhibited were awarded the Silver Award.

Jinroku Fruit Store, a shaved ice specialty store that delivers the charm of local fruits, opens

Yoko-cho, Saga Prefecture, a port town where the whaling culture of the Edo period still lives.
On May 23, 2025, a shaved ice specialty store "Jinroku Fruit Store", featuring local fruits, opened on Morning Market Street, which is also a symbol of this.

We use plenty of seasonal fruits harvested in the Karatsu, Yobuko, and Genkai-cho areas to provide original shaved ice that values the original taste of the fruit. While taking advantage of the sweetness, aroma and acidity of the ingredients, the syrup and toppings made in the store are beautiful in appearance and are finished in a dish that stimulates the five senses. As a base for transmitting the appeal of local ingredients, and as a new stopover spot perfect for summer Yobuko sightseeing, it is now attracting attention. The content of the shaved ice menu changes every season, so it is attractive that you can enjoy the seasonal taste luxuriously throughout the year.
