This is the largest international hot air balloon competition in Asia held every year from late October to early November at the Kasegawa Riverbed in Saga City. The Saga Plain area, centered on the Kase River riverbed, is an ideal land for balloons, with sufficient space, stable airflow, and exquisite wind layers. The competition is held early in the morning and evening, but in the daytime, shaped balloons (deformed balloons) appear and various events are held, so you can enjoy it outside the competition hours. There are many highlights, but you can't miss the early morning and evening competition flights and night mooring "La Mongolian Fie Noctune". The sight of more than 100 balloons appearing all at once in a competitive flight can only be seen in Saga. During the period, a temporary station adjacent to the venue will be opened, so access by train is also good.
