Yutoku Inari Shrine

Yutoku Inari Shrine | Mercure Saga Karatsu Resort

When Princess Hanayamain, the wife of the Kashima feudal lord Naotomo Nabeshima, puts a portable shrine from Kyoto, he was separated from Inari Oga, enshrined in the Hanayama-in residence in the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The vivid vermilion of the building that shines in the greenery of the trees is very impressive, and the main buildings such as the temple, worship hall, and the tower gate are lacquered. The main shrine stands on the stage built up 117 steps, and a tower gate and a kagura hall stand on the large grounds at the foot of the mountain. It is higher than Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto, and is also called "Zensei Nikko" because of its beauty.
