Hamasaki Gion Yamakasa
◆This is a Gion festival dedicated to Suka Shrine (Gionsha), which is enshrined in the precincts of Suwa-jinja Shrine in Hamatama-cho, Karatsu City, which is held every year on Saturdays and Sundays immediately after the sea day in July.
The Hama area is a big catch, the east area is thriving, and the west area is praying for rich harvest. Three 15m-high Yamakasa goes around the town with flutes, drums, and shamisen music.

Yobuko's morning market, which has been open since the Taisho era, is one of the three major morning markets in Japan.
Stalls are lined up on the morning market street, about 200m, where fresh seafood, processed goods, vegetables, etc. are sold. It is a morning specialty unique to Yobuko, where the voice of aunt at a lively stall and price negotiations are also fun.

Soso kiln

"Sogama" is a pottery that was founded in 1984 and is the 40th year this year.
It is the only pottery in Arida that produces pottery using kneading techniques, in which porcelain clay is colored and made by hitting a dough combined like a puzzle in a mold.
